I am a German to English translator who specializes in contemporary fiction. To date, I have translated and co-translated over 20 adult and children's books in a variety of genres, including memoir, crime fiction, science fiction and romance.
The US and UK book markets are some of the hardest publishing spaces in the world to enter. My goal is to help Germanophone authors navigate the murky waters of contemporary publishing in these arenas. Please contact me if you would like to work with an experienced translator and agent (of sorts) to submit your books for consideration by traditional and hybrid publishers. My team can also help you enter the self-publishing space in the US, so you can develop a marketing and promotional plan specific to this niche market. We can handle everything from translation and editing to submissions and promotion.

With over fifteen years of editorial and translation experience, I would gladly assist you with your editorial and German translation needs. I have translated and edited both fiction and nonfiction, and bring to the editorial process a sensitivity to the challenges and rewards of helping texts travel across linguistic and cultural borders. Most importantly, I have worked with traditionally published (both major and independent presses) and self-published translations.
